FAQs

I am running for re-election because I am deeply committed to the success of Liberty Hill ISD. Serving on the board for the past six years, including as President, has given me the opportunity to help guide our district through growth, change, and challenges. I want to continue working alongside our community to ensure that every student has access to excellent educational opportunities, our teachers are supported, and our district is positioned for long-term success.

One of the biggest challenges Liberty Hill ISD faces is managing rapid growth while maintaining high-quality education. As our community expands, we must plan strategically to ensure our schools have the space, resources, and staff needed to support students without overcrowding. I have worked on long-range planning committees and helped lead efforts to pass bond programs that address these needs. Moving forward, I will continue to focus on smart, proactive planning that keeps our district strong and sustainable.

I truly care about this district, not just as a board member, but as a parent, volunteer, and longtime resident. I have lived in Liberty Hill for 17 years, raised my children here, and spent over a decade volunteering in our schools. Every decision I make is rooted in what is best for our students, teachers, and community. My goal is to ensure Liberty Hill ISD continues to be a place where students thrive and families feel proud to call home.

I want to see the state provide more funding for public education to ensure districts like Liberty Hill ISD can keep up with growth, rising costs, and the needs of our students and teachers. Schools are being asked to do more with limited resources, and without adequate state funding, the burden falls too heavily on local taxpayers. I will continue advocating for increased state investment in education, competitive teacher salaries, and funding that supports both academic programs and school safety.

I am running for re-election because I believe in the future of Liberty Hill ISD. While we have made significant progress, there is still work to be done to ensure our students, teachers, and community continue to thrive. My experience, leadership, and passion for education will help us navigate growth while maintaining academic excellence and financial responsibility.

My priorities include ensuring student safety, managing growth responsibly, expanding academic and extracurricular opportunities, and advocating for our district at the state level. I will continue working to provide high-quality education while maintaining the strong community values that make Liberty Hill special.

As a board member, I have worked alongside district leaders and community stakeholders to plan for smart growth. This includes passing two bond programs, opening new schools, and expanding programs to ensure students have the resources they need without overcrowding classrooms. Managing growth in a fast-growth district like Liberty Hill ISD requires thoughtful planning and strategic decisions. As a board member, I have worked alongside district leaders and community stakeholders to ensure we stay ahead of student enrollment needs. While statewide budget cuts have led to temporary class size increases as a cost-saving measure, we remain committed to maintaining a strong educational experience. With the upcoming openings of Elementary #8, Legacy Ranch Middle School, and the official Legacy Ranch High School, we anticipate class sizes adjusting back down as these new campuses provide additional space and resources for our students.

I regularly meet with local education leaders as well as state legislators to ensure Liberty Hill ISD has a voice in policy discussions. I believe in strong advocacy for school funding, local control, and policies that support student success.

Student safety is a top priority. I have supported measures to enhance campus security, improve emergency response planning, and ensure that our schools have the resources and personnel needed to provide a secure learning environment.
